Memphis, Tenn was one of the very first places to embrace David Bowie and all things androgynous and Glam. It makes sense, after all Memphis knew how to appreciate a boundary smearing pretty boy with abundance talent named Elvis. I figured it was time for Air-Conditioned to do a little glitter coated tribute to Glam. T-Rex, Roxy Music, Mott The Hoople, Sparks, The New York Dolls, Jobriath, Lou Reed, Mick Ronson and Elton John join in strutting their stuff, as well as some acts, like Suede, David Werner whose sound clearly drew from the same palette of musical make-up and rhythmic rouge.
