Self: What are we willing to leave behind to reach the light we seek?
Inner Voice: Isn’t it everything? The burdens we cling to, the fears that define us, the comforts that keep us stagnant?
Self: But how do I know what to let go of? What if I abandon something I need, something that makes me who I am?
Inner Voice: Who you are is not the weight you carry. It’s the essence beneath it. The pain, the doubts—they shape you, yes, but they are not your destination. They are steps on the path.
Self: And what if letting go means losing a part of myself I’m not ready to part with?
Inner Voice: Then ask yourself: is holding onto it worth never moving forward? Growth demands sacrifice. Sometimes it’s the comfort of the familiar; other times, it’s the chains you’ve mistaken for safety.
Self: So, the answer is to surrender?
Inner Voice: Not surrender—to choose. To decide what truly serves you and what keeps you from the light. The light isn’t outside of you; it’s revealed when you release what dims it.
Self: And if I’m afraid to step forward?
Inner Voice: Then stay still, but know this: the light waits for no one. The longer you linger, the heavier the weight becomes. The choice is always yours—but time will make it for you if you don’t.
Self: Then I must walk, even if it terrifies me.
Inner Voice: Exactly. Fear is the price of freedom. Let it guide you, not bind you.
