We take a peek inside a private room, where the Geishas take a break from servitude and entertaining people. Chiaru on the left is pensive, listening to the meditative, sad song played by Mika (right) on the Shamisen.

The song tells a story about a love found and lost, during the cherry blossom, which usually bloom and wither within 14 days.

We hear about the sweetness of love, life, connection and the inevitable fact that all things come to an end, as taught in Buddhism. Chiaru is deeply saddened, and dreams of reliving unconditional love during the cherry blossom, over and over again.

Yet, she realises, that her present is bleak and lonely. This is the fate of the Geishas, always pleasing others, but never finding happiness for themselves.
