Ukrainian mathematician Maryna Viazovska has just been awarded the prestigious Fields Medal for her work on the best way to pack 8 dimension spheres.
She is one of four mathematicians under 40 years of age to win the prize. Also is only the second woman to receive the prestigious Fields Medal.
It took more than 350 years to confirm Keplers conjecture that a pyramid-like arrangement of spheres is the densest packing of spheres possible
