Monty Python couldn’t stop laughing when I told them who was going be on this week’s edition of my WYXR=FM show Air-Conditioned. Maybe it was King Crimson, Let’s Active, Mitski or King Creole & The Coconuts who inspired the hilarity. Maybe they were excited to share the bill with Talking Heads, 10cc, Spoon, Beck, The English Beat or New Radicals? I dunno. While I was at it, Elvis Costello, Paul McCartney, Radiohead, Bob Mould, Paul “Buttercup” Jones and The Good Listeners filled out the show. No complaints, but just don’t get into any arguments with Monty Python about the playlist. From the looks of Terry Gilliam, I wouldn’t want to cross swords with him.
