Transfer color while preserving texture with the following trick:

First use your base image as the style which you transfer to the image you want to use for its color, preserving its color. Set the weight of the style very high and use more iterations to transfer more style details. Then transfer the result of that first step as the style back to your base image, but without preserving color. That way the texture of your original base image is mostly preserved and the color comes from the image you use for its color.
