** The Weight of Night **
Bound by toil, a man does tread,
His heart once light, now laden, spent.
In chains of work, in chains of night,
He gasps for air, he pleads for light.
His vows, once pure, now weigh him down,
A cage he wears, a crown of ache.
Still, he dreams beyond the ties,
Where breath is free, and love remains.
He longs to hear the steady hum
Of life that calls him to become,
A man reborn from soil and bone,
To grow, to rise, to claim his own.
That chains may break, that cage may fall,
And in the light, he finds his strength—
A new dawn breaks, the sun to rise,
Free to live and love, to soar the skies.
