** THE NIGHT THE BEDROOM CAME TO LIFE **

DO YOU REMEMBER THAT MOMENT
When you were small?
When you started to see things
That weren’t there at all?

You lay in bed,
The house was still,
And the slow hand of the old clock
Creeped past the midnight hill.

It wasn’t dark,
For the moon shone bright,
And you knew deep down:
This is the magic night.

When no one’s watching,
They claim the space,
The toys break free
From their stiff, frozen place.

Their own world springs to life,
Where the rocking horse roams free,
And mice dance at his feet,
With a little boy, their honored company.
