Hi, folks! It's been awhile! I've still been using DDG to make backgrounds for videogames and cover art for my books, etc, but I haven't really bothered to post anything to the site itself for awhile. Thought I'd stick my head above the parapet and let you all know I'm still alive. I've been experiementing with a new way of doing AI art, lately. First I create a highly-detailed, abstract 3D geometry in Mandelbulb, then I feed into the AI with prompts telling it turn that geometry into nature or a city or architecture. The combination of the Mandelbulb base WITH the prompts allows me a much greater degree of control than either would on its own. For this one, having created a little lanscape, I then filtered it through one of my favourite styles to give it a surreal, painted look. I like the result, but I don't plan on using it for anything, so, er, enjoy!
