Although this soldier may seem to be evil by being part of the Wehrmacht, he would disagree. He was forced to join by the SS force that was stationed nearby. Disobeying them would mean certain death for his family. He fought fiercely to protect his village and family from harm. He cared more about his home than the outcome of the war. He only wanted calm-living, he knew to achieve this he would have to risk his life. Unfortunately, he perished on the eastern front, dying without knowing whether his village will be safe from hostile armies. It is said that often they can see a figure, a tall, strong man standing in the sunset. Without a doubt, they know this man to be the very same man who fought for them, only them.
