I got big into Tolkien at a young age and the yearly calendars were probably my first exposure to art, certainly the first art I was passionate about. I tried many of those old Tolkien images on here, not too many came out well. Very tricky. Daniel Prust modified an existing style to make it work for this dream. He taught many people the finer points of DDG, learned quite a lot from him.
