The shimmering, irridescent colours on Bismuth are actually the result of tarnishing through oxidisation. Untarnished Bimuth crystals are silvery pink, but that doesn't look as cool. We're talking about a substance that gets cooler and cooler looking the older and more worn it gets. It's also technically a metal rather than a crystal in the traditional sense, but nobody in their right mind cares.
