So, this was a really interesting piece to work on. First, I used the text-to-image converter to create a close-up of an intricate clockwork mechanism conforming to the general aesthetic I wanted, then I took it to an image-editing program to resize and mirror it, creating the symmetrical background you see in the finsihed piece. I then returned to the text-to-image converter to generate a few different planets, which I then cropped out of their original images and placed in front of the background in various positions. I finally filtered the result twice through two of my signature style filters to give it my usual 'look'. I really like the result: a digital collage made from pieces I generated myself rather than from photos or other artists' work.
