A dog in Valparaiso, Chile, looking me over. The Shadow, a mesmerizing crime fighter, was characterized as having "the hypnotic power to cloud men's minds so they cannot see him". Beginning in the 1930s it was a series of pulp novels and then a popular radio program, with the introductory line, "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!" Said by none other than Orson Wells. Styled with a cloisonne cigarette box.
