...that only appears to be totally blacked out. It's not actually. Looks like the AI's consciousness kind of halfway muddled through all of it? At least the inception is more concentrated over the not so dark areas where the image used to have much lighter features. Was at least going for that much. Idw lighten up regions too much, would defeat the objective. This is to test Deep Dream's ability to detect places where a photo has been darkened, and populate these spaces with more visual artifacts and iterations than other pitch black regions. Ideally, I would want the artifacts/iterations to at least roughly conform to the original image, but using the super darkened edit.
