famous gladiator bicycle poster, but here I'm comparing the two 'coffee bean' styles I have with identical settings. In this style, the beans aren't actually in the same scene, so what I'm seeing is that when there are two colors or textures that are associated with two different 'styles' internal to the image, they aren't mixed well. However, since there are hard lines between the beans in the style, ares with hard lines (her outline, the title words, the bike tires), those areas are better emphasized. There remains a fairly high degree of smearing, but the overall effect is nice.
