Valentine of Terni († February 14, 269) is a saint and martyr of the Roman Catholic Church. In the 3rd century AD he was bishop of Interamna, today's Terni. Valentine of Terni is nowadays revered as the patron saint of lovers, so that the customs of Valentine's Day can be traced back to him.
