Jewish texts describe angels as visually chaotic, a jumble of limbs and animalistic elements, countless eyes, embodied geometries, without gender or sex... to make humans into angels would require an utter abandonment of the current structure of our bodies and psyches, a transition to nonbinary and posthuman ways of existing. So what better way to imagine that than a posthuman collaboration between (nonbinary/intersex) artists and AI at the heart of the Deep Dreams?

If your're seeing this on the DeepDream Generator feed, the captions will just show this being a combination of one image and watercolors/etchings by Mr&Mrs William Blake.

However, it's actually a lot more "collaborative: steps than that. First I made a composite image from my own photos (designed to trigger a well-composed response with certain visual elements intact) and then used the Fathomless Deep Dreaming algorithms to generate the abstracted shapes (that resemble eyes).

Then I downloaded that file and used Photoshop to convert it into an image that looked more like ink-and-watercolor work and had more appropriate color intensity and tone. That's what's shown as one of the "originals" here, as I sent it back to The Dreamer AI for the next part of the collaboration (shown here).
